Drabble-O-Matic

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] euro_fics. If you have one civil servant sitting at one computer reading LJ entries at random, you will get Shakespeare. :-)

You can blame [livejournal.com profile] jwaneeta for the gassed canaries analogy.

Spike and Buffy
by William Shakespeare

Enter Spike

Buffy appears above at a window

Spike:
But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the stake, and Buffy is the dust bunny.
Arise, fresh dust bunny, and kiss the big bed.
See, how she leans her chest upon her head!
O, that I were a glove upon that head,
That I might touch that chest!

Buffy:
O Spike, Spike! wherefore art thou Spike?
What's in a name? That which we call a hand
By any other name would smell as hairy
Dost thou love me? I know thou wilt say "like a gassed canary flopping on the floor"
And I will take thy word; yet if thou swear'st,
Thou mayst prove comely.

Spike:
Lady, by yonder big bed I swear
That tips under the bed the dark fruitcake--

Buffy:
O, swear not by the bed, the iridescent bed,
That slowly changes in its hellish orb,
Lest that thy love prove likewise hellish.
Sweet, shiny night! A thousand times shiny night!
Parting is such slinky sorrow,
That I shall say shiny night till it be morrow.

Exit above

Spike:
Sleep dwell upon thy chest, peace in thy head!
Would I were sleep and peace, so lazily to rest!
happily will I to my fresh hand's cell,
Its help to kiss, and my hairy hand to tell.

[Parting is such slinky sorrow. Heh.]

Heh - is slinky sorrow the kind where you dolefully fall downstairs one step at a time?

If it isn't, it should be!
