Once More With Feeling

Talked to my father tonight - he's two discs into BtVS S6. Understand, now, that when my father really likes something, he says it's good. He might say it's very good. He's not necessarily grudging with praise, but he's not exactly effusive either.

He watched Once More With Feeling. And he gushed.

No, really! He gushed. I've never heard him like that before. I think aliens may have replaced his brain.

Also, he thinks Marti Noxon is hot.

Well, the poor dear is still into the episodes before the Noxinator destroyed a cast of characters I'd loved for five years. Give him until, oh, Seeing Red, then ask him how pretty Marti is. ;)

He likes things dark - his favourite BtVS scene was the hyena!students eating Principal Flutie and his favourite AtS scene was Angel locking Dru and Darla in with the lawyers. I think he'll probably like all of S6.

Of course, he doesn't have the same attachment to Spike as we do. :-)

Gushed, I tell you - gushed. It was weird. He wants to figure out how to use his DVD burner so that he can have a copy of that episode for himself. Maybe I should get him the soundtrack for Christmas. :-)

She certainly has a very nice singing voice. I think Joss has said that he liked hers the best.
