Huh

So the Canadian men's hockey team's Olympics are over. Not only are they coming home without a medal, but they didn't even make it out of the quarter-finals. That sound you hear is the citizens of an entire country gnashing their teeth in collective agony.

I don't actually watch hockey myself (bad Canadian!), but the news did raise my eyebrows a little.

In other news... I got nothin'. My existence has been pretty much centered around the TV since the Olympics started. I'll resume my regularly scheduled life after this weekend, I guess.

It took me a full hour to hack my way into my car after a sleet storm left it encrusted in two solid inches of ice last Friday. From where I sit, you're the lucky one. :-)

Hubby and I were spending a lovely day off together yesterday. Then we watched the hockey. There was bad language and tears and yelling. BUT at least we have 18 other medals to be happy with (18 so far anyways).

I think we got another one this morning, though I can't remember what sport it was. And I think we still have a couple more chances in speed skating. Woot!

Ooo - women's curling! That's what it was - they got a bronze. I haven't heard how the men fared (have they finished?). If they get a medal, it'll be only the second time ever for a Newfoundlander. :-) If you hear anything about the women's skating, don't say anything! I'm going spoiler-free until I get to watch it on TV tonight.
