Banners - Because I R Dumb

If anyone would like to drop me some hints on how to get a banner onto one's LJ, it would be greatly appreciated!

Um. Or something to that effect. Actually, I'm not really sure, either. *sighs* You're not dumb, this stuff is just ridiculously complicated. They really need to make something that makes it easy to put banners on.

As I mentioned, I use S1. It seems old school and outmoded, but seems far more simplistic to me than S2.

But you rule for looking up all the stuff.

You'd definitely think that putting up a banner would be easier to do than it is. If I can't figure it out, I'll give S1 a shot. I'm a bit brain-dead at the moment - I'll try again tomorrow.

It worked! I still don't get what I did exactly, but it worked. Woot! I have a banner! It clashes horribly with the colour scheme I currently have in place, but yay!

I have very little understanding of exactly what those commands you sent me actually mean, but they worked!

I actually don't know what it all means, either. I copied it from somewhere else back when I was putting a banner on my lj. lol.
