desoto_hia873Jim and I spent New Year's Eve at a house party with some old friends - he met them in high school, while I met them shortly thereafter in my first year of university. Which means I have known them (and Jim, for that matter) for 23 years now. How in the world did I get to be this old?!?
Anyway, well after midnight and many glasses of wine and champagne, he and I retired to the local Holiday Inn for a kid-free night in a king-size bed. Jim started playing with the TV to see what movies were available and discovered that Serenity was one of them. And then we stayed up until 5 am watching it.
