Bonanza!

I work for the federal government and each year it holds a United Way charity campaign. Today we had a used book sale to raise funds. I checked the leftover books on my way out the door at the end of the day and found twelve Buffy books and three Angel books. I've heard that they're generally not very good, but - hey - $2 for the lot? I'll take the risk.

For anyone who's interested, the titles are behind the cut. If you know which ones are worth reading, do tell!

Squee!!!

I am a real newbie fanfic author - I think I've written a grand total of four fics that were more than drabbles. I've written nothing at all since June. And I keep reading stories by really good authors, like rahirah and flurblewig and redeem147 and jwaneeta and nandibble and cousinjean and theohara and and...(the list goes on and on), and have basically inferiority complexed myself into complete immobility.

Just for the heck of it, I put my four whole stories on fanfiction.net yesterday, figuring they'd be lost among the hundreds (thousands?) of other BtVS stories, but - hey - nothing to lose, right?

So today I come home, check my email, and have five reviews! Whee!! Plus one from the Buffy Fiction Archive, which was also a first.

A Big Name Author I am not, nor will I ever be. But this just might encourage me to go for #5...
