So this weekend was a Significant Other weekend. He came to Ottawa again because my alma mater's football team (Guelph Gryphons) made it into the playoffs and was playing the University of Ottawa. I knew they were going to lose, but I wanted to go anyway - Guelph is a five hour drive from here, so I never get to see their games anymore. Yes, this would be one of my more peculiar obsessions, particularly since most of the players are probably young enough to be my sons.
Anyway, with the game taking up most of Sunday afternoon, we only watched two Buffy episodes: Phases and Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered. S.O. is a Sensitive Guy - he was sad that Oz is now and forever a werewolf. He liked the scene at the end of Phases when Willow tells Oz that she still wants him in her life. In fact, he actually got a bit misty over it.
Which makes me feel vaguely guilty for having gotten him hooked on the series - he is just gonna DIE when he watches Becoming, Part II. Heck, it still makes *me* cry and I've seen it forty times already.
In other unrelated news, I helped out with my office building's Solid Waste Audit this afternoon. I have to say - sorting through garbage? Not as much fun as you'd think.
Blech.
