Read 'n Feed
Nov. 7th, 2004 11:00 pmThis weekend has been so busy, what with my birthday and my cousin's belated birthday and getting ready for a work-related trip to Vancouver tomorrow and trying to remain sane because, with me, sanity not quite as firmly anchored as I'd like it to be. Especially when I'm tired, which I really am.
Anyway, I really wanted to participate in Feedback Day, but I just haven't managed to get on the computer much at all this weekend, particularly today, and now I've more or less missed it.
So, instead, I will pledge to feedback *more* in the coming year.
And also a couple of short tributes:
janedavitt - I just discovered your webpage a few weeks ago and have gone through a whole bunch of drabbles and not let you know how much I've been enjoying them. Someone sent me over to there to read Understandable Mistake, which I thought was great and pimped to my wee little flist way back in August. I'm looking forward to reading your longer pieces when things calm down again (at the rate I'm going, that should be around June 2012) and promise to feedback immediately then. I'm also hoping to start reading Secretary, though, at the rate that you guys are producing it, I may never finish!
elsaf, I thought your Countdown series was brilliant (I read it on the All About Spike site this summer), particularly Highway 17 which I have described as the "Ultimate Brian Fic". And After All? Heartwrenching wonderful.
thenyxie, I think I've said this to you before, but just in case: In The Alley (How It All Comes Down) was absolutely perfect. This was the real ending to the final battle in Angel and I will brook no arguments to the contrary.
I nearly died laughing while reading
jwaneeta's A Proper Funeral and pimped it to my tiny flist also. I still haven't read any P.G. Wodehouse, but fully intend to.
Also, quick mentions to
bookishwench,
booster17,
cousinjean,
doyle_sb4,
flurblewig,
jedi_penguin,
ladywenham,
nimuetucker,
rahirah,
redeem147, and
theohara - seeing new stories from you, including NaNo updates, is always cause for excitement.
OK, back to packing. Off to Vancouver for a workshop and then to Peterborough for a weekend with S.O. See you next week!
