RDA Feedback

*sigh*

This is turning into ever so much more of a saga than I'd ever intended. A couple of days ago, it sounded as if the judging of the RDAs was coming under fire and I got defensive because I had put alot of work into them. I probably should have just kept my mouth shut, but I didn't.

ladywenham told the RDA judges and awards artists that she'd received "another wave of complaints" (<- that's a quote) regarding the RDAs. I believed her. peasant_ identified herself as someone who'd made a polite request for feedback. I believe her too. She and ladywenham had a short but very civil exchange in peasant_'s LJ. There appear to be no hard feelings on either of their sides and I am very happy about this.

I am still offering to provide constructive feedback on any RDA fics that I judged to their authors. It may take me a few days to get back to you because Jim is coming down for the weekend and I haven't seen him in nearly a month, but I *will* respond to all that ask. I hope I didn't hurt anyone's feelings with what I've said and I'm very sorry if I have. I wanted to defend my work as a judge and I was upset about the "wave of complaints" (<- still a quote) that resulted in ladywenham cancelling the remainder of the competition.

Can we please all just go back to getting along now?

Juliet Landau

Well, that was neat. I'm working my way through my Nikita S3 DVDs and just watched an episode guest-starring Juliet Landau. She was wearing a particularly ugly wig and I didn't recognise her at first, but, yep, that was her. My, she's a tiny little thing.

Nikita was a Canadian show that always pretended not to be. It was filmed in Toronto. At one point, Juliet's character had to set a detonator using a three digit code. The numbers? 416. Toronto's area code. :-)

Oh, and she had to infiltrate an organisation called the Alliance. The Jossness is everywhere.
