Whinging

I've been doing so well this week--I finished and posted one chapter of my WIP and immediately started working on the next. On both Monday and Tuesday evenings, I spent a couple of hours writing, and the solution to a problem I was going to have to face in Chapter 5 came to me at work today, so I jotted that down. I'd planned to do even more tonight--it's not often I get on a roll like this!--and then I went to the dentist this afternoon.

Four shots of novocaine, three fillings, and one abraded gum later, I'm home, trying not to drool on myself, and feeling totally miserable. Half my face is still numb, and the half that has unfrozen has started to hurt. I tried sitting down to write some more, but my headspace is full of ow, so I got nowhere. Cavities suck.

We had a big storm this afternoon that knocked the power out at work three times. This first time, I was in the washroom. Washrooms without any windows get really, really dark when the power goes out.

I want to curl up into a ball and watch something Buffyish. Maybe I'll put on Halloween. Or Band Candy. Those episodes always crack me up.
