A Better Day

Crisp, cool fall weather. A football game (with no rain!) at York University, and my beloved Gryphons won 47-7. A stop at an Asian grocery store on the way home that yielded bags stuffed with fresh lemon grass, galangal root, and lime leaves (ingredients that are pretty much non-existent here in the hinterlands of Peterborough). Another stop to pick up S1 of Heroes because I still haven't seen the last four episodes.

Jim and the boys have gone to the cottage with their brother/uncle and nephews/cousins. Which means that I have the house all to myself for 24 straight hours. Thai soup is simmering on the stove (recipe to follow for those who are interested).

Tomorrow will involve sleeping in and perhaps a trip to a local antique barn.
