I Hate It When I'm Predictable
Oct. 1st, 2007 09:33 pmAccording to a recent poll, 53% of Canadians want to drop the monarchy. Support for severing ties was highest among men and French-speakers (there's a shock), while women and those earning more than C$50,000 a year were most likely to support the current system.
I fall into both those latter categories, and I like the monarchy. I hate it when I'm predictable.
Also? This quote: "The monarchy 'sets us apart from our neighbor to the south, and I like it that way,' said Prudence Preeper of the Monarchist League of Canada."
Prudence Preeper! What a great name.
Yes, I just got home from choir rehearsal and am filling my time with randomness until 10 pm when my VCR stops recording so that I can watch Heroes.
