Merry Christmas!
Dec. 25th, 2007 11:11 amSanta came early to our house this year. Jim's nephew works for Panasonic, so Jim drove down to Mississauga on Friday and bought a not-quite-perfect big-screen television (it has two dead pixels in the bottom left corner, not that you can see them) for the TV room in the basement for a third of the regular retail cost. He's pretty pleased with it.
Jim and I went back to Toronto yesterday afternoon to pick up Bella. She came on a later flight than expected, so she had a long day. She was quite timid coming out of her crate, but she's starting to warm up to us. The constant flow of treats may have something to do with this. :-) She knows her name, and she's house-trained, but she doesn't know a whole lot else. We're working on sitting today, but only haltingly because she's still a little anxious. I have her tied to my waist so that whither I go, she must follow. The Minneapolis breeder said that this was a good way to establish me as the new leader of her pack, and it also keeps her out of trouble. She's smaller than I thought she'd be and very gentle. And so pretty!

Jim's boys don't know about the television or Bella yet, so they're in for some surprises. :-)
