When Jim was younger, his hair was almost jet black. He also used to wear a much thicker beard; the overall effect was that it was hard to see his face. I don't mind the grey - at least you can *see* him under all of it.
I doubt he'll ever go clean-shaven for long - he's too lazy to shave everyday.
