1. Kathy’s Song – Simon and Garfunkel. This is one of S&G’s prettiest songs. I don’t know who Kathy was, but she sure got a nice one.
2. Kiss of Life – Peter Gabriel. I love the album this song comes from (Security)—there are no bad songs on it.
3. Kiss the Flame – Jewel. Certainly not my favourite song by Jewel, but not my least favourite either. I think she uses the whole ‘kiss the flame’ thing rather too much on this album (Spirit), but I listen to it all the same.
4. Kitty – Cat Stevens. If you don’t know Cat Stevens, go get yourself Tea for the Tillerman and Teaser and the Firecat, pronto. This song is from a compilation CD called First Cuts that is made up of odds and ends.
5. Know Where You Go/Tell Me Your Dream – Blue Rodeo. I never liked Blue Rodeo very much until an ex-boyfriend dragged me to one of their concerts. Their energy and enthusiasm made me an instant convert. Five Days in July was supposed to be their break-through album into the U.S. market, but it never really happened. Which is too bad—they’re a consistently very good band.
6. Knights in White Satin - Moody Blues. I saw the Moody Blues on a reunion tour. Justin Hayward played the biggest red guitar I’ve ever seen. For some reason, I always want to see someone do a spoof of this song called Whites in Night Satin.
7. Knowing Me, Knowing You - Abba. Abba are fun. Silly, but fun.
8. Kodachrome - Paul Simon. This is a neat little song about materialism.
9. Kokomo - Beach Boys. Who doesn’t like Kokomo?
10. Knights of the Round Table - Monty Python
It's a busy life in Camelot
I have to push the pram a lot…
