More Season 7 Stuff

So, three more episodes (plus an additional comment on one I watched the other night) and random thoughts on them.
Beneath You: I only discovered fanfic last year(-ish, maybe 18 months ago), so some things - like not-so-veiled slash references - escaped me the first time I saw BtVS Season 7. Like Nancy's question to the group in the Bronze: "Is there anyone here who hasn’t slept together?", after which Spike and Xander exchange a look. Hee! I had to watch that a few times.
Same Time, Same Place: Again with the slash, and also continuity from Season 4: (Anya and Willow are preparing to do a spell together; Anya speaking) "This isn't going to get all sexy, is it?"
Also, Gnarl? Creepiest demon *ever*.
Help: I liked this episode. Lots of foreshadowing (which, in hindsight, is like a brick in the face, but at the time was a little more subtle). Poor Cassie - she was a neat character. Willow's visit to Tara's grave was touching, but I remember thinking that that scene could have been even more... poignant without the nice associations (my vocabulary has let me down) if she'd visited Warren's grave instead. Granted, there wasn't much left of Warren to put in a grave, but still. Willow visiting his headstone and apologising? That would have hit like a punch in the stomach.
Also: Doogie Howser fanfic. *snerk*
Selfless: A truly brilliant episode. It tied up so many dangling Anya threads - her journey would not have been complete without this ep. And the continuity! (Bunnies, and Olaf, and the troll hammer, and the extra OMWF song, and Willow summoning D'Hoffryn, and the sword through the chest that didn't kill the vengeance demon.) And the foreshadowing! (Xander with the cut/big smear of blood through his left eye after the battle with the spider demon, D'Hoffryn's parting words to Anya.) And the killer (no pun intended) twist with Halfrek at the end! Great stuff.
Though I will always look at Olaf and think "That's Jerry from ER".
But that's just me.
Next: Him. ::sighs:: I'm hoping I've forgotten something about it, but didn't we see that plot already in Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered?
