On the other hand he did haul him all the way back to camp, you gotta figure that counts for something....

Locke must have spent alot of time beating on the hatch - it was well into night-time by the end of the show. You'd think he'd have come back to see how Boone was. But that would have robbed Jack of the opportunity to go storming off after him, I guess.
