Title: Runaways
Rating: G
She lived in a dingy apartment. Worked in a seedy diner. Her customers gave her a hard time when she got their orders wrong. The men leered at her and groped her when they thought they could get away with it. They never knew that the pretty blonde girl could have broken their necks with just one swift blow.
She should have known she couldn’t run, couldn’t forget, couldn’t hide. That her past would seek her out. One day, a stranger called her name and she knew it was time.
Nikita returned to Section One; Buffy went home to Sunnydale.

I just started working my way through Nikita S2 and the parallels between the season-opener Hard Landing and BtVS's Anne were too obvious to ignore. Plus they aired in the same year. *And* Nikita was wearing a large silver cross pendant in Hard Landing (which you can just barely see in the icon below which, I think, was made by
roulade). Odd.

Ah. Found a better picture of the cross at www.fire-ice.org:

I'll stop now.
