Dad finally made it to the end of BtVS S5. He's not buying the whole "Buffy is dead" thing. But, then, who would? There are two seasons more to go.

In the words of one of his ex-girlfriends, I'm not feeling very gruntled today. It's August, it's sunny, SFX is in a few days, and it's the weekend. And still - blah. I seem to be trapped in one of those moods where I mostly just want to hide under the bed.

Can someone please send me a new brain?

I'm sorry you're not feeling so good. I recently discovered the cheering fact that 'vampires' are more popular than 'men' as an LJ user interest - 86,275 people like vampires, whereas only 80,022 people like men. Maybe that will make you feel better? It made me feel a lot better :)

I can't even claim PMS as it's not time for that yet. The only plausible explanation is that my brain is doing one of its malfunctioning things again. I'm used to it, but it still sucks.

Men vs. vampires. Hee. I bet if people stated their preference for male vs. female vampires, there'd be a pretty wide gap there too. :-)

Your dad reminds me of when I first saw ET. My whole family were wailing and crying, and there's me, aged about 8, looking at the clock and going 'there's 20 minutes left. No way that thing's dead.'

Hope you find your gruntle soon! I prescribe a warm bath, a glass of something nice and Fool For Love. That usually works :-)

I do the same thing with TV shows - when something dramatic happens, I check the clock. "Nope, still half an hour - I'm on to you!"

I can't watch Fool For Love - my Dad still has the S5 DVDs. But that does give me an excuse - I'll blame him!

I went out yesterday and bought a silver gel pen so that Adam can sign the Serenity mini-poster in ink that matches Sean Maher's signature.

Re: betaing (you sneaky thing) - sure, but would you mind holding off for a couple of weeks? If it's long, that is. I need to make some headway through the stories I've been assigned in the third round of the RDAs.
