Gleaned from Whedonesque:

Someone purports to be in possession of the notepad that 'Dr. Joss' was writing on during the River Tam sessions. Complete with still-sticky fake blood. There's some debate over whether it's the real thing or not, but the stuff written in it seem rather Joss-like. (Notepad contents are spoilery on the same level as the trailers and River Tam sessions themselves.)

Several months ago, akin discovered the ambulance from Ariel in a scrap yard. An Ariel Ambulance Yahoo group has been started to raise enough money to buy, store, and display it.

And, finally, Joss was recently asked which five people he would take to a desert island. His answers:

1. Jane Austen because "she was my first", with the proviso that she bathed first because "they didn’t do that back then."
2. Caligula because "someone has to be the master of ceremonies."
3. Emma Thompson because he's entirely intrigued by her.
4. Himself.
5. George Bush. "Because we’ll need something to eat."

Granted, preserving a prop isn't exactly a crisis on a level with Hurricane Katrina, but I think it's kind of neat. And another example of how dedicated Firefly flans are. :-)
