Going Kerfuffle-Free

I just wanted to say that the purpose of my last post was to stress the integrity of the RDA judges and not to point fingers at any specific people. I can, of course, really only speak on the subject of integrity with regard to myself, but I do believe that the other judges involved in the RDAs were just as earnest about trying to do a good job as I was.

Also, there are many more deserving authors in this fandom than there are awards. Please don't put too much stock in the results of the RDAs or any other fanfic awards. They're a nice form of peer-recognition, but they are very far from the last word on the quality of anyone's writing. And, truly, they were never intended to slight anybody.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled kerfuffle-free programming.

I was reading Serenity stuff in a sci fi mag yesterday (starlog, maybe?) and positively drooling. I didn't think I'd be this excited, but the preview at SD Comic Con was great.

I've seen it twice now *ducks* and it's a rip-roaring good time. I really hope we get a sequel - I love the characters so very much.

It is well worth the wait. And you'll need to see it twice just to catch all the dialogue. I really hope it does well - I want to see more of our Big Damn Heroes!
