Bones and Lost

Watched them both last night. I didn't mind the pilot of Bones too much, but the show seems to be getting worse with every episode. The characterisation of the scientists makes my eyes cross. The speed at which they ferret out clues makes my eyes cross. Their space age technology makes my eyes cross. The show is giving me double vision. Which is too bad because I think David Boraneaz is doing a pretty good job of acting. And I kind of like his skinny ties.

The geek needing advice on sex thing made me gag, but his line (paraphrasing here) "I understand her words, but don't comprehend their meaning" made me laugh. Objects In Space, anyone?

And, holy cow, did Bones herself ever need a bra in the opening scenes where she was walking towards the body!



It was good seeing Sawyer again on Lost, but why did we have to relive the whole down-the-hatch plot from last week? We learned almost nothing new about that story line. Actually, we really didn't learn anything new about any story line until Sawyer and Michael made it back to the beach and found out that Jin had been taken prisoner by The Others.



My theory on Lost:



Who/what are The Others? They're proto-Reavers! French Chick and Desmond were part of a team conducting medical experiments on psychotropic drugs, specifically a formulation of what eventually becomes Pax. It all went very wrong. You've never seen any of The Others lying down, have you?

He does look gooood. He had kind of bulked up in AtS S5, but looks to be fit and trim again now.
