This week's prompt at [livejournal.com profile] open_on_sunday was "trust". I missed the deadline by minutes (why does inspiration always strike in the middle of the night?!?), so I'm posting what was to be my contribution here instead.

Setting: BtVS S6
Rating: It doesn't get any more G than this.

He’d been coming to them for years. Been a loyal customer since the first day they started the business. Their service had always been excellent – their employees courteous, their prices fair, and the work professionally done. No matter how difficult the tasks he brought them, they’d never failed him.

This one must have been a toughie, though. His favourite – and luckiest – golf shirt, nearly ruined. The big tournament was on Saturday and he needed it. Had they been able to save it?

With trepidation, he peeled back the plastic, looked closely – and felt like dancing.

They got the mustard out!

Thanks! I got the idea after going to bed - I had to get up and turn the computer on again to write it. ::is tired::

My secret drabble kinks: going off on a tangent and not actually using the prompt word in the drabble itself. Now if only I could do it more often!

Reason enough to burst into song I'd say. :)

Indeed. Though I once made a worse mess than mustard that even those dry cleaners couldn't fix - I spilled contact cement all over a new pair of pants. *Nothing* gets that out!

Thanks. My father's still gushing about OMWF - I guess the Mustard Man is just stuck in my head.
