Moving. Ugh.

I've had a remarkable lack of things to say lately, haven't I?

Moving day is Saturday - my apartment is a maze of boxes. I can hardly walk from one room to another. I haven't yet packed up all the junk in the closet of the second bedroom and there are so many boxes of books stacked up in there that I'm not sure I can even get to the closet anymore. ::sighs::

My phone line is scheduled to flip over to the new apartment on Saturday, but my high speed internet access isn't going to activate until next Friday - ack! Seven days without high speed! I may not survive. I still have the old molasses-speed modem in my computer, but I'm not sure I even remember how to use it anymore.

Yay for internet access at work, though - I just ordered the OMWF soundtrack for my father for Christmas. :-)

I can always use strengthy brainwaves - thanks. Moving would be much more fun if I were actually moving somewhere interesting. As it is, I'm just moving to the main floor of my apartment building. My dog is getting on in years and it'll be easier just to open up the back door when he needs to relieve his little bladder than to have to hike down four flights of stairs first.

Good luck with the move! I've moved four times, but never with any more stuff than would fit in the back of a small car - so it's always felt a little like cheating, somehow :-)

And I am horribly jealous of anyone who has web access at work - all I can get is my company intranet :-( ::goes quietly green::

I've heard that Ottawa is desperately short of lawyers - YOU NEED TO MOVE HERE!!! (OK, I'm making that up - the first part, anyway.)
