In other news, I'm ba-ack! (Obviously.) And can I just say - Holy Kerfuffle, Batman! I spent two solid hours yesterday finding out why cousinjean is crossed-out on my flist. I thought I told you guys to play nice?!

Change Islands is a lovely place. The weather was gorgeous (something Newfoundland is not known for), the scenery stunning, and I had me some good bonding time with Sis and Dad. Will post some pics when I finally get around to downloading them from my camera.

I haven't gotten through even half of the backlog of posts and emails - if I missed any other earth-shattering news, do let me know.

De-chipping Spike

When I started reading Buffyverse fanfic, the first big archive site I found was All About Spike. Which worked for me because he was my favourite character. Anyway, one of the things that I was quite delighted with was the wide variety of ways that people came up with to get the chip out of Spike's head.

Being old and fogey as I am (and becoming more so every day), I now can't remember half of the dechipping methods that I've read about. In fact, I can only come up with three. I don't want to spoil people for any stories that they haven't read, so I'm putting this very short list under the cut - click at your own risk.

Serenity Spam

Is it just me, or do the heads of the Serenity cast in this pic look like they've been Photoshopped on? I dunno, they look like giant Barbie dolls or something. I think it's kind of creepy.

Battle Royale

Hee! elementalv is running Battle Royale, which is more or less The Most Dangerous Game set in the Buffyverse. Kennedy was the first to go (surprise) - Giles and Tara killed her simultaneously. Quentin Travers was next - Giles got another notch in his belt. Go play!
