In other news, I'm ba-ack! (Obviously.) And can I just say - Holy Kerfuffle, Batman! I spent two solid hours yesterday finding out why

cousinjean is crossed-out on my flist. I thought I told you guys to play nice?!

Change Islands is a lovely place. The weather was gorgeous (something Newfoundland is not known for), the scenery stunning, and I had me some good bonding time with Sis and Dad. Will post some pics when I finally get around to downloading them from my camera.

I haven't gotten through even half of the backlog of posts and emails - if I missed any other earth-shattering news, do let me know.

Oh, and 100 icons! Woot!

I seem to have suddenly decided to go to Newfoundland for a week in August. I've been dithering about it for two days, but the fact that I just booked my ticket online would appear to indicate that I've finally made up my mind. I'm meeting my father and sister there - we're driving up to Change Islands (sort of the northeast corner of the province) which is a place I've never been. Dad is bringing his laptop to try and get some writing on his third novel done. Perhaps I'll bring mine and use him as inspiration to write a fic.

Or maybe I'll just sit on the beach and look for seabirds and whales.

We're having a wicked thunderstorm right now. I expect to lose power any moment - a well-timed sneeze can throw everyone into darkness for hours in this part of the city.
