Obligatory Serenity Plug...

...'cause it's out on DVD today. Yay! I'll either get 12 copies for Christmas or everyone will think that someone else has bought it for me and not get it at all. That's just the way of things.

Amazon has named Serenity this week's Biggest of the Big, which is cool. Also, at time of writing, it's ranked #1 at Amazon and Firefly is #6, which is even cooler.

Buy a copy for everyone you know and maybe we'll get a sequel yet.

My father is forever phoning me or my brother-in-law up and asking us to check a listing in the TV guide. So I ordered a TV Guide subscription for him online last week as a Christmas gift. What did the good folks at TV Guide do? Sent him a card - which he received YESTERDAY - informing him that he had been given a gift subscription!

Why in heaven's name couldn't they have waited another week? How high an IQ does it take to figure out that mid-December gift subscription = Christmas present? Do these people not have the common sense God gave goats??
