Recipe for a Great Birthday
Nov. 6th, 2006 11:34 pm1. Be between jobs. Sleep until you wake from a very pleasant dream and then lie under the electric blanket a while longer.
2. Answer the first phone call of the day from loving mother who spent the better part of four days helping turn vast piles of boxes into a liveable apartment.
3. Have significant other arrive at the crack of mid-morning with a mushy card and an armful of red roses.
4. Lounge around with significant other who booked the day off work just to be with you.
5. Go for a walk in the fall sunshine, holding hands.
6. Stuff yourself with salmon and extremely decadent chocolate cake at a nice restaurant.
7. Log into LJ to find many birthday day wishes from wonderful flist.
Fold in several phone calls from other family members, mix gently with cuddles on the couch, and bake until golden.
Turning 43 isn't so bad after all. :-)
