B is for...

1 - Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The show that got me here in the first place. I can't really say it was my first fandom - I think the Monkees can claim that dubious honour - but it was certainly my first public one.

2 - Bourne & Kraatz. Because 'figure skating' starts with an F. Actually, now that I think about it, figure skating was my first public fandom - I was on a figure skating mailing list in the 1990s and a whole bunch of us met up at the World Championships in Edmonton in 1996. There's probably even figure skating fanfic out there somewhere, but I'm afraid to look for it.

3 - Blue, Hands of. Because Firefly also starts with an F. (mireille719, you gave me the wrong letter!) My Whedon-love knows no bounds.

4 - Beluga. The whale, not the caviar. They're so cute. And they're my favourite whale.

5 - Blood type. I'm A+. I first learned this in a Grade 11 physiology course (Hi P!). That evening, I went home and asked my parents what types they were to see if I was illegitimate. :-)

6 - Bug. Several years ago, my aunt decided that everyone in my family should have a totem. My mother had collected turtle figurines for years and a friend of the family liked to give frog-related paraphernalia to my uncle because she said he looked like one. ::snerk:: I was assigned ladybugs.

7 - Book. Couldn't live without books. Also, Shepherd.

8 - Beaver. Canada's national symbol. They couldn't have chosen an animal that's a not a rodent?

9 - Bilabial plosive, voiced. Wikipedia says that that's what the letter B is in English.

10 - Bra cup size. B, as it happens, is mine. (What is this cleavage thing you speak of?)

Anyone want a letter? Or am I the last person on LJ to do this meme?

And it could ba a lot worse. We have an animal that is smart, hard working, and cute. At least it isn't a frog or something.

I can't even tell you how many times I saw those beavers during the Olympics. Oddly, I can't remember their names now. (Was one Frank?)

Being a celebrity these days sure is different than it was a generation ago!
