Twice in two days have shows left me bewildered at the end.

I watched last week's Veronica Mars yesterday, and for the life of me, I can't figure out why she wouldn't take Logan's call at the end. OK, yeah, she was pissed that he'd hired a bodyguard to follow her around, but she agreed that they should be easier on each other at the end of that argument.

What did Wilson say to Chase at the end when they were making sandwiches? Something about Becker and grim? I rewound my tape four times and still couldn't get it.

I'm not sure if I'm going deaf or senile at this point. Help?

My theory in regards to V not taking Logan's call is because of the blow up they'd had. She might have figured he was calling to check up on her and she just didn't want to deal with it. Or him in general. She made me so mad in that episode because of how she treated him, even if he was a little misguided. He was concerned. His reaction, though extreme, made sense!

Though maybe I'm just mad I don't have my own Logan. ;)

I thought she overreacted too. I'd rather have a guy who cared too much than too little! I just thought that they'd settled that fight, so her not answering the phone was kind of weird.

I missed last week's episode so I'm of no help. But I found the ending of this week's ep so rushed I figured that's what you were posting about!

I've just watched this week's--you're right, it was rushed. Logan getting himself thrown in jail so he could punch out those two guys was a nice awwww moment though. :-)

I can sorta help with the House one...it was an allusion to Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot....I think it went "Beckett was going to name his play waiting for House's apologies" or somesuch.

Thank you! I couldn't hear it either.

I thought it was "Beckett was going to name his play 'Waiting for House's Approval' but decided that was too grim."

On a sidenote: was "Waiting for Godot" supposed to be grim? I thought it was just OMG!BORING!!!!

That's right. I nearly bit my entire fist off in OMG at what followed.

Yup THAT's the line I was going for...well done with the quotage.

Re the grim part...if the only thing you had to look forward to in life was an endless repeat of Waiting for Godot...wouldn't that be grim?

*shudder of horror*

Don't say that! Even in jest! A lifetime of Beckett just flashed before my eyes; it wasn't a pretty sight!

*laughing*

Ah! That makes sense--merci. I've never read Waiting for Godot, so I didn't know who wrote it.

I'm going with her not picking up his call because she just doesn't want to deal with his angsty worrying. She thinks she's Superwoman and bitterly resented his hiring of the bodyguard. Of course, she probably should have kept him around...

And yeah, the House reference was to the play Waiting for Godot by Beckett.

With all the situations she's wound up in in the past couple of years, you'd think she'd be a little less convinced of her Superwoman powers. The bodyguard thing might have been an overreaction on Logan's part, but at least he cares!

What everyone else said regarding VM. I think when you watch this week's episode, it will be more clear - at least how Logan felt about it.

I'm not as much of an L/V shipper as everyone else seems to be (I actually liked Duncan!), but Logan getting himself thrown in jail at the end of this week's episode was a very nice awwwww moment. :-)

Yeah, I'm much more of a Logan fan than an L/V shipper. I just want them to be together because it would make Logan happy. I call it, Spike Syndrome. ;-)
