Flanvention Cancelled

After a week of waffling, Booster Events has cancelled Flanvention II at the last minute. The very last minute--some flans had already arrived at the hotel, while many others (including some from as far away as Australia) were in the air en route.

Adam Baldwin shows up anyway. You rock, Adam.

In an effort to salvage the weekend, the California Browncoats are organizing a Backup Bash. You also rock, California Browncoats.

I saw the cancellation posted last night in whedonesque and just could not believe that the organizers of that event waited until Thursday evening to announce the event was cancelled.

Really, these guys make Joe and Fernando look like saints.

It is unbelievable, isn't it? I hope the folks at BE have at least had the good sense to go into hiding.

At least the Backup Bash turned out to be a huge success. :-)
