This one's by redeem147 herself. She made it for me in exchange for a donation to WriterCon 2004. I always liked the BtVS episode titles that had more than one meaning, and this icon works that way. First, the obvious: Jonathan is short. Second, so am I. And third, my first foray into fanfic was drabbles--lots of drabbles. So it's a very pleasing icon. :-)

This one's by the incomparable wickedgoddess_. While I did grow fond of Tara in the end, I have always had much love for Oz. He was just so cool. And he was always wonderfully sweet to Willow and did so much to boost her self-confidence. So I just had to have a Willow/Oz icon.

This one's by bittersweet_art. I think the pic is actually of Angelus, but he doesn't look particularly Angelusy in it. I just thought it was a pretty icon--he looks all handsome and everything.

This one's by me. (All the lame icons are by me. My icon-making skills are somewhat lacking.) I was a huge fan of Starsky & Hutch in the 70s (yes, I'm old). It was a fun show and Paul Michael Glaser is hot. I have a thing for dark- and curly-haired Jewish guys, what can I say? I occasionally read S&H fanfic, though I haven't found a reliably good source, so I figured I should have an S&H icon for when I leave comments.

Oh, and did I mention hot? (Ooo, those tight jeans!)

This one's by me, too. I bet I'm the only person on LJ with a Colm Feore icon. Colm Feore, for those who don't know, is a Canadian actor (well, sort of--I think he was born in the U.S., but he's lived in Canada for a long time) who often appears in plays at the Stratford Festival. I've seen him there in a number of productions: as Cyrano de Bergerac, as the head pirate in Pirates of Penzance, and most recently as Fagin in Oliver! His first role there was Romeo in R&J in 1984. I know I went to see R&J with my mother that year, so chances are pretty good that I saw him in his debut year. I'm rather pleased by that.

Anyway, he tried to make the jump to Hollywood, but has really only scored small parts (e.g., he was the president of Caprica in a flashback on BSG). He was one of the stars of Bon Cop, Bad Cop last year, which is probably the most Canadian movie ever made. Huh, I just looked him up on IMDB and I see that he's going to be in several episodes of 24 next year. Cool! Guess I'll have to watch for those.

He's lived in Canada since he was a kid (at least twice as long as he's lived there) so he counts as Canadian. He's worked quite a bit in American films, including two movies with Nick Cage. He was Meg Ryan's boyfriend in City of Angels, and he cut Nick and John Travolta's Faces/Off :)

This one's by me, too. The Monkees were my first fandom. Someone brought some of their LPs to a dance in Grade 7, which also happened to be a year when reruns of the show were on TV after school. I had a mad crush on Micky for years. I saw the Monkees (well, three of them--Mike wasn't there) on their reunion tour in the mid-80s, and it's the only concert that I've ever screamed at. It just slipped out, I couldn't help myself. ::blushes::

I've no idea who made this one, but I think it's hilarious. I like men with chest hair, though I think Warren's might be a bit thick even for me. But it's still a funny icon.
