She doesn't read this journal--she figures she spends enough time on computers at work, so she avoids them at home--but today is my little sister's 39th birthday. Happy birthday, Meredith! Enjoy your 30s while you can, 'cause you know what's next!
Despite being 5.5 years younger than me, Meredith has been taller than me pretty much ever since she hit adolescence. I also look young for my age (I attribute this partly to being so short), so Meredith used to make a joke of introducing me to her friends as her "little sister," and was amused when everyone believed her. Of course, that was back when she was in her 20s. Now that she's pushing 40, she finds the fact that most people assume she's the older one somewhat less amusing. Heee.
