I read in TV Guide last week that one of the guys was gonna die and thought it might be Boone. Because the producers would be shooting themselves in the foot if they killed Sayid, Sawyer, Charlie, Locke, or Hurley. So I figured it had to be Jack, Boone, or Jin.

But Jack declaring that Locke murdered Boone and setting off to hunt him down? Didn't see that coming.

Do ya suppose that Boone's been reincarnated into Claire's baby? With all the other weird things happening on the island, I wouldn't put it past the writers.



Read on Whedonesque today that David Fury has quit the show and will be moving on to The Inside and next season's 24. I've liked his episodes the best - I hope Lost can keep its momentum. It should be interesting to see what he'll do with 24. (A little less torture at the drop of a hat would be nice.)

I need more Lost icons.

I was stunned they killed Boone, too.

That, and I was like, whoa, Jack, uh, kinda jumping the gun with the whole "Locke murdered him" thing there. Somebody has issues.

Also... since Sun actually seems to have some medical experience, why didn't Jack send her to deliver the baby? It reminded me of that scene in Gone with the Wind when the doctor tells Scarlet "there's nothing to bringing a baby"... and Melly almost dies.

Locke really might have been a tad more forthcoming about the whole being-crushed-by-an-airplane business. On the other hand he did haul him all the way back to camp, you gotta figure that counts for something....

Locke must have spent alot of time beating on the hatch - it was well into night-time by the end of the show. You'd think he'd have come back to see how Boone was. But that would have robbed Jack of the opportunity to go storming off after him, I guess.

I wondered that myself. They only have two people with any knowledge of medical stuff. Jack obviously is more highly trained than Sun and Boone was certainly the worst off of the two. It would have made sense to send Sun to Claire and have Kate stay and help Jack.

I thought he should have at least mentioned to Kate that she should check for the umbilical cord being around the baby's neck before telling Claire to give the last pushes.

Goddam I was all like trying to be surreptitious with my tears when Boone kicked it and then the spawn come over and hugged me so I knew she was onto me GODDAM. I do get too caught up in my television.

Me too! Boone was nowhere near my favourite character, but I was still in tears at the end. Mind you, those Church of Latter Day Saints commercials can get me misty too. I'm a push-over.

You're kidding - we have repeats from now until then? We only got a couple of new episodes after a month of repeats! *sighs*
